Nigerian Government Distributes ₦147M To 7,000 Women

The Nigerian government has approved the distribution of over ₦147 million to 7,351 vulnerable women in Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Programme.

This was revealed by Alhaji Abubakar Dan-Barde, Co-ordinator of the Cash Transfer Unit, Guri.

He stated that each woman received ₦20,000 as payment covering the months of January, February, March and April.

Dan-Barde said another set of 1,140 women would be paid the support funds after they were issued with their payment cards.

The Co-ordinator said the combined payment of four months stipend was made to cushion the effect of movement restriction imposed by the government across the country.
