Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari, is expected to sign the 2021 Appropriation Bill into law on Thursday.

Recall that the National Assembly before embarking on holiday had passed the ₦13.58tn budget for the next fiscal year.

The current government over the years has shared its desire to restore the country’s budget to January to December cycle.

The desire was achieved with the 2020 budget which was signed into law by President Buhari on December 17, 2019.

With the desire of the President to achieve the same this year, he expected to sign the 2021 bill into law on Thursday.

The plan of the President was confirmed by his Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, to Punch.

“It is not likely that the plan will change though,” the presidential aide said.
