Fuel Subsidy: FG Budgets ₦900bn For Oil Marketers In 2022

The federal government of Nigeria has estimated that the sum of ₦900 billion will be paid to oil marketers as fuel subsidies in the country in 2022.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed on Thursday at the presentation of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2022-2024 in Abuja.

She also disclosed the Federal Government has an estimated budget of ₦13.98trillion for the 2022 fiscal year.

In 2022, the government said it will slash capital expenditure to ₦3.61trillion in 2022, from the ₦4.37trillion approved for 2021.
