NGX: UAC, Royal Exchange Lead Gainers As Investors Trade 239.73million Shares

The Nigerian capital market yesterday recorded a slight drop in investment.
Naija News understands that investors at the NGX on Thursday traded 239.73 million shares worth ₦3.89 billion in 3,848 deals.
Shareholder’s total investment for the day slipped by ₦1 billion from ₦25.526 trillion to ₦25.520 trillion.
The All-Share Index was up by 11.24 basis points to close at 47,364.46 compared to 47,353.22 achieved the previous day.
Thursday’s trading activity surpassed 145.83 million shares valued at ₦7.91 billion traded in 4,113 deals on Wednesday.
Leading the gainer’s chart, UAC Nigeria enjoyed a rise in its share price by ₦1.10kobo to close at ₦12.10kobo from ₦11 per share.
Royal Exchange had pocketed N0.10kobo to rise its fortune from ₦1.02 per share to ₦1.12kobo.
Meanwhile, WAPIC’s share was up by 8.16 per cent to move from N0.49kobo to N0.53kobo per share. Presco’s share leapt by ₦8 to move from ₦125 to ₦133 per share.
Multiverse gained 4.55 per cent to end trading with N0.23kobo from N0.22kobo per share.
Naija News understands that the trading activity was unfavourable to the likes of Niger Insurance which topped the losers’ chart after shedding N0.20kobo to drop from N0.22kobo to N0.20kobo per share.
Cornerstone’s share dropped by 6.45 per cent to end trading at N0.58kobo from N0.62kobo per share.
Veritas Kapital’s share depreciated from N0.22kobo to N0.21kobo per share after losing 4.55 per cent during trading.
Seplat lost ₦30 to end trading with ₦930 from ₦960 per share.
Lasaco completed the list after shedding 2.80 per cent from its market price to drop from ₦1.07 to ₦1.04 per share.
Leading on the trading equity, Veritas Kapital smiled home with 30.01 million shares valued at ₦6.30 million.
UBA followed with 27.72 million shares valued at ₦235.18 million while First Bank traded 23.02 million shares worth ₦272.01 million.
GTCO sold 18.24 million shares worth ₦477.75 million, while Fidelity Bank traded 16.10 million valued at ₦47.76 million.
