Buhari Travels To Yobe State After Campaigning In Adamawa State

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday arrived in Damaturu, Yobe State on a two-day working visit, Naija News reports.

The President during his visit, will commission some projects executed by the state government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

He would also take part in the scheduled presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state tomorrow.

The President’s itinerary was confirmed in a statement on Twitter by his special assistant on digital communications, Bashir Ahmad.

He wrote on Monday: “President Muhammadu Buhari arrives Damaturu, Yobe State, on a two-day working visit, while in Damaturu, the President will commission some laudable projects executed by the State Government and also participate in the APC Presidential Campaign rally, tomorrow.”

Buhari Campaigns In Adamawa

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he personally attended the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State on Monday.

Speaking at the palace of the Lamido of Adamawa, the President was quoted to have said he was in the state to support the party’s governorship candidate, Aisha Binani as well as all other candidates of the APC for the 2023 election.

He stressed that it is important to support Binani to emerge as the first female Governor in Nigeria which according to President Buhari will send a strong message to the world about Nigeria’s democracy.

Buhari added that many females have been fighting from a distance but the time has come for them to share in leadership directly.
