FFF President Backs French Star For 2025 Ballon d’Or

President of the France Football Federation (FFF), Philippe Diallo, has thrown his full support behind Paris Saint Germain winger, Ousmane Dembélé for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Diallo declared that Ousmane Dembélé “deserves” to win the award following an extraordinary season.

Dembélé, 28, emerged as one of the top contenders for the Ballon d’Or after scoring 25 goals since the start of the year and playing a pivotal role in PSG’s dominant run across all competitions.

The French giants completed an unprecedented clean sweep, winning the Ligue 1 title, UEFA Champions League, Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions.

Speaking to Le Figaro, Diallo said: “He is perhaps the favourite. Ousmane Dembélé has had an exceptional season. I am delighted that we (France) have two players, Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, who should at least be on the podium. Dembélé deserves to win this trophy.”

The endorsement adds momentum to Dembélé’s growing Ballon d’Or bid, as he stands out not only for his goal tally but also for his consistency and influence during PSG’s historic campaign.
