Igor Tudor Extends Contract With Juventus, Real Madrid Secure River Plate’s Mastantuono

On Thursday, June 13, Juventus confirmed a contract extension for head coach Igor Tudor, while Real Madrid sealed the signing of Argentine teenage prodigy Franco Mastantuono from River Plate.
Juventus officially extended the contract of Croatian manager Igor Tudor, who will now lead the Bianconeri until June 30, 2027, with an option for an additional year until 2028.
“The Croatian manager will coach the first team until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend… His next journey begins this summer, leading the team to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup,” Juventus said in an official statement.
Tudor, who returned to the club in March 2025, impressed during the final stretch of the Serie A season.
Under his leadership, Juventus earned a crucial UEFA Champions League qualification spot, registering 5 wins, 3 draws, and just 1 defeat in 9 matches. His tenure began with a home victory over Genoa and ended with a vital away win at Venice.
Juventus praised his “outstanding performance” and highlighted the emotional significance of his return to the club where he once played. According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Tudor will earn an annual salary of €2.4 million.
Real Madrid Land River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono
Meanwhile, Real Madrid made headlines by officially announcing the signing of 17-year-old midfield sensation Franco Mastantuono from River Plate. The Spanish giants confirmed a six-year deal running until June 30, 2031.
“Mastantuono will officially join our club starting August 14, 2025,” read a statement from Real Madrid.
The teenage star rose through River Plate’s academy ranks from 2019 to 2024 and broke into the first team in early 2024. He quickly made history, becoming the youngest goalscorer in River Plate’s history and playing a pivotal role in their Argentine Super Cup triumph.
Mastantuono has already made 61 senior appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists, and earned his senior debut for Argentina on June 6, becoming the country’s youngest-ever player in official matches at 17 years and 293 days.
He is part of River Plate’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup and will officially join Real Madrid when he turns 18 on August 14, 2025.
