Opposition Parties Must Unite To Oust APC In 2027 - Okonkwo

Nollywood actor cum politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership over the threat to punish its members involved in the 2027 coalition.

Naija News reports that the acting National Chairman of PDP, Umar Damagum, while speaking during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, following the party’s National Working Committee meeting held to consolidate party unity after the reinstatement of Anyanwu as National Secretary, affirmed that the party remains united.

Damagum stated that disciplinary action will be taken at the appropriate time against members who are working to undermine the party.

While accusing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of buying its members, Damagum expressed optimism that those defecting from the party would return.

In a post via 𝕏 on Thursday, Okonkwo stated that the major opposition in the country (PDP) is dead.

The thespian questioned why PDP leaders would threaten to discipline those involved in the 2027 coalition when some of its leaders have defected to the APC and openly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

He said, “PDP leadership has really become the clowns of the APC. How can you be talking about dealing with your members who are supporting ADC and the Coalition when PDP leaders have defected to APC, openly endorsed Tinubu for 2027, and are working for APC, even while still being members of PDP, and PDP is accommodating them and even making excuses for them. PDP is dead.”
