Marcus Rashford Is Barcelona’s Third-Highest Paid [See Top 14]

Barcelona’s summer transfer window took a dramatic twist with the arrival of England international, Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford has not just landed a spot in the Barcelona squad ahead of next season, he has also landed near the top of the club’s wage bill.

Rashford, 27, was officially unveiled at Camp Nou earlier this week, and the forward made headlines not just for his switch to La Liga, but for his impressive salary package.

“I’m very excited,” Rashford told Barcelona’s YouTube channel. “It’s a club where people’s dreams come true, they win big prizes.

“What the club stands for means a lot for me. I feel like I’m at home and a big factor in my choice to come here is because it is a family place and a good place for good players to showcase their skills.

“Another factor is because the conversations I had with [Hansi Flick] were positive. What he did last season was terrific. To lead such a young team to a very successful season and come back to pre-season and still want to do more, it shows me everything I thought I knew about the club and it’s everything I wished.

“I’m eager to learn the Barcelona way.”

According to Capology, Marcus Rashford is now Barcelona’s third-highest-paid player, pocketing a reported £300,000 per week.

Barcelona, currently undergoing a financial and structural rebuild under manager Hansi Flick, have nonetheless managed to add the England star without breaking their wage structure completely.

Only Robert Lewandowski (£347,083 per week) and Frenkie de Jong (£316,590 per week) earn more than Rashford at the Catalan club.
