Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has sacked his Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Rabi’u Kaugama, with immediate effect.

Naija News reports that Kaugama’s sack was communicated in a statement on Tuesday.

The termination of his appointment comes with immediate withdrawal of all rights and privileges attached to the office, as well as orders for an immediate handover of government properties.

The statement by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Ismaila Dutse, signed by Bala Ibrahim, Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, said the sack is effective immediately.

The statement read: “With this development, all rights and privileges attached to his office as Special Adviser to the Governor on National Assembly Matters have been withdrawn.”

The former Special Adviser was also directed to hand over all government properties in his possession without delay.

“These items should be returned to the office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State,” it added.
