PDP Will Be Unbeatable If United – Ikpeazu

Former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain steadfast and committed to the party.

Naija News reports that Ikpeazu made this appeal while hosting top PDP leaders from Abia South Senatorial Zone in his hometown, Umuobiakwa, where he emphasised the importance of unity for the survival and dominance of the party.

He emphasised that loyalty is the greatest sacrifice expected of true party members.

“Loyalty to the party is the ultimate sacrifice we owe to ourselves and to the people we serve. Once we remain united, no external force can defeat us,” Ikpeazu declared.

The former governor urged leaders at all levels to hold regular meetings to strengthen PDP structures across the zone, the state, and the country at large.

He warned members to resist distractions from “noise makers and naysayers,” insisting that only consistent commitment would keep PDP strong in Abia and beyond.

Speaking further, Ikpeazu lamented that despite his achievements in office, some individuals still refused to acknowledge his efforts but instead found reasons to fault him for personal misfortunes.

“If somebody’s pot of soup sours, they will blame Okezie Ikpeazu as being responsible for it,” he said, drawing laughter from his audience.

In his remarks, the PDP Vice Chairman of Abia South, Enyinnaya Appolos, said the meeting provided an opportunity for party leaders in the zone to exchange ideas and receive briefings from the former governor, whom he described as the state leader of the PDP.

Appolos urged members to show commitment and unity of purpose, stressing that the PDP must continue to remain the dominant political force in Abia.

“We must work together as one family. That is the only way we can sustain our dominance in Abia politics,” he said.
