Devon Aoki is famous for being an American model and actress. Her modeling career began when she first appeared at Ready to Wear’s Fall/Winter 1997 Fashion Week. Her face and her talent were so striking that Versace chose her to replace Naomi Campbell as the face of the brand at the age of 16.

The supermodel was born Devon Edwenna Aoki in New York on August 10, 1982 to a Japanese father and a mother of German and English descent. Devon grew up in London most of her youth, with her siblings and half-siblings. She attended American School and St John’s Wood, London, England.

Devon started modeling at age 13 after her godmother introduced her to iconic model, Kate Moss. After making her runway debut in 1997, she went on to work for renowned brands such as Balenciaga, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Marc Jacobs, Baby Phat and, a year later, became the face of Versace. She has also featured in advertisements and campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Hugo Boss, Lancôme, Tiffany & Co and L’Oréal. This exceptional model has had the rare honor of appearing on the cover of top magazines, such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Nylon, 10 Magazine Australia and Numéro Tokyo.
