Cadwell was born Linda Emery in 1945 on March 21 to Vivian and Everett Emery in Everett, Washington, United States. She has Swedish, Irish, and English ancestry that comes from her parents.
Early on, he studied at Edmond Meany Jr. High for his high school education. However, he later moved to Seattle and joined Garfield High School, Washington. Although he also signed up to graduate from the University of Washington, he did not complete it.
Several years later, Linda Lee pursued her career in political science. Additionally, she had a teaching degree that led her to become a kindergarten teacher.

Linda Emery married Bruce Lee in August 1964. Their son Brandon Lee was born in 1965. And four years later, Linda gave birth to their daughter Shannon Emery Lee in 1969.

Linda Lee Cadwell – Later life
Linda did and continues to do everything she could to keep her late husband’s job. In the process, she even wrote her first book ‘Bruce Lee: The Man Only I Knew’, which she published in 1975. Similarly, her second book ‘ The Life and Tragic Death of Bruce Lee’ was published in 1989.
Linda led her children to follow the same path their father followed. Her son was an actor and martial artist. Brandon played Laser Mission (1989), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), Rapid Fire (1992), and The Crow (1994). Brandon Lee died in a shooting accident during the filming of “The Crow”. He was then only 28 years old.
Since Linda has her daughter Shannon by her side. Shannon also followed in her father’s footsteps to become an actress, producer, businesswoman, and martial artist. Shannon chairs the Bruce Lee Foundation and serves to spread Bruce Lee’s philosophy on life and martial arts.
